Daily Mail: Health inspectors have fined and branded a Chinese takeaway 'the worst we have ever seen' for serving up stomach-churning grease, filthy work surfaces and floors.
The highly critical hygiene inspection came as these sickening pictures emerged showing dead flies stuck to worktops, a mountain of grease and mould lining doors and kitchen floors and utensils scattered aimlessly on dirt-ridden floors.
Gateshead Magistrates Court ordered the owner of The New Hop On in Sheriff Hill, Gateshead, to pay nearly £2,000 for contravening hygiene regulations.
Speaking through an interpreter Mr To, who represented himself, pleaded guilty to three counts of contravening hygiene regulations, but said he thought the food inspectors would tell him what to do and then give him a chance to clean up.
