Letter in The Northern Echo today by Pete Molloy:

LIKE the vast majority of disgusted English people, we in the British National Party were also disgusted with everyone that took part in the criminal riots.
The people to commend for bringing the riots to an end are not the Government nor the police, but the general public who came out to clear up and protect their communities.
There was a difference in attitude from the press and the police when dealing with the community protectors.
The Turks, Muslims and Sikhs were all treated as heroes even though some of the latter carried swords.
Compare that to the English who were treated as criminals by the police and called “racist vigilantes” by the press for protecting their community.
Is it any wonder British people want out of Britain and are moving to pastures new?
Pete Molloy, British National Party.
