The date when the British National Party’s ‘Bring our Boys Home’ petition will be handed in to 10 Downing Street has been postponed due to the Barnsley by-election being called on the same day.

Making the announcement, British National Party veterans’ officer Pete Molloy said it had originally been intended to hand over the petition on 3 March.

“This was before it was announced that the Barnsley by-election would take place on the same day,” Mr Molloy said.

“Obviously it will be impractical to have two events on the same day, and it has been decided to move back the handing in of the petition to Downing Street to Thursday 17th March.

“The planned remembrance service for our fallen comrades will also now be held on the same day,” Mr Molloy said.

“I look forward to seeing as many veterans and party members as possible at the event in London, where party leader Nick Griffin MEP will be in attendance.”

If you are interested in attending this event, please register at veterans @ bnp.org.uk.

Veterans are asked to wear their berets, regimental/service tie, blazer and medals if at all possible.
