This Saturday, 7th of August, there will be a canvassing day of action in Spennymoor as part of the campaign to elect Adam Walker to the vacant position of Spennymoor town councillor. The meeting point is the Crown pub car park on Princess Street, at 10 a.m. We would like to see as many people as possible make it over to Spennymoor for Saturday, although Adam and his team are out several times a week canvassing the ward, so if you can help out any time please let us know.

There are some 2,200 houses in the ward, and each one is often visited several times if no-one's home, so, as you can imagine, it takes a huge amount of time for just a handful of activists to accomplish. Everything is made so much easier if more people come to help, so please make the effort. So far we've had people come from all over the north east for some days, but we always need more. More canvassing will be done on Sunday, starting at 11 a.m., and people are out in the evenings during the week, too.

If you'd like to help, just turn up at the starting times, or phone election agent Michael Stewart on 07990 663292 or email Transport may be able to be provided depending on your location.
